„HOUSE OF GLASS AND WAX“: EMBOSSED DESIGN OF CANDLES

Creative work of February‘s first educational Saturday of KCCC Exhibition Hall was dedicated to the spontaneous experimental construction of shapes. During the creative activity „House of glass and wax“, with reference to Latvian artist‘s Gints Gabrans‘s words: „Art – is a mutation, which forms the changes of culture“, participants were offered a challenge: to change the usual aesthetic assessment of a decorative item. The members of creative afternoon dissociated themselves from the creation of stereotypical aesthetic object – they refused using sketches and original idea and also indulged in creative drift and spontaneity. During the activity we let the hot wax structurize oneself and surprise us with unexpected patterns, nuances of lines and nascent shapes and deformations.
