“ARCHITECTURE OF KLAIPĖDA 2019 | LIMITS”

An annual exhibition of the works of architects “Architecture of Klaipėda 2019 | Limits” prepared by the of Lithuanian Union of Architects Organisation of Klaipėda District (LUAOKD) will be opened at the KCCC Exhibition Hall (Didžioji Vandens str. 2, Klaipėda) on the 19th of June, 2020, Friday, at 5 PM.

The main part of the traditional exhibition is the review of the annual production of architects. Its topics – projects, realisations, architectural competitions and academic works. The projects prepared and implemented for Klaipėda are exhibited, as well as the works of our architects in other cities, which became the laureates of international and republican architectural competitions.

The topic “Limits” of the exposition of the exhibit was formed the most relevant event of this year – the global pandemic, during which the mandatory general physical distance was introduced. The area surrounding us may bring us together or delimit, indicate direction or mislead. One of the main objectives of the work of the architect is the quality formation of flows and spaces by creating different scenarios of the movement of people and use of spaces. This year, the classic open exhibition scheme is being changed. The visitors are invited to admire the architecture of Klaipėda of 2019 individually.

The exhibition is funded by the Klaipėda City Municipality, Lithuanian Council for Culture and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania.

The exhibition will be opened until the 19th of July, 2020.

KCCC Exhibition hall (Didžioji Vandens g. 2, Klaipėda) working hours: Wednesday – Sunday 11 AM -7 PM (closed on public holidays).

The visitors must follow the personal safety requirements, which are mandatory during the quarantine period: only visitors wearing protective masks or other face protection shall be allowed into the exhibition hall.

Safe physical distance and hand hygiene must be maintained.

The event will be photographed and filmed, therefore, we would like to inform that the visitors may be seen in the pictures and video recordings from the event, and that these photographs and video recordings may be made public on social media or the press.
