The Exhibition “3+6. Young art from three countries”

The Exhibition Hall of Klaipėda Culture Communication Center  (KCCC) (Didžioji Vandens street 2) continues  presenting young artists from three countries – Lithuania, Germany and Sweden.

This continuous project, which is aimed at presenting artworks of young artists, has been run for already 8 years by collaborating partners – art institutions from the Baltic seaside countries: Klaipėda Culture Communication Center, Artists‘ House „Lukas“ in Ahrenshoop (Germany) and KKV Graphics art studio in Malmö  (Sweden). This year the project goes beyond the former limits in terms of number of participating authors from three countries and presents twice as many young artists.

This year,Lithuaniais represented by authors from Klaipėda Simas Žaltauskas andViktorija Dambrauskaitė,Germany –  by authors from Greifswald Sarah Fischer and Paula Gau,Sweden–  by Carl Johan Wirsell and Zardasht Faraj from Malmö. In their group exhibition these young artists present painting, graphic art, photographs, drawings and illustrations.

Organised since 2008, the project (formerly called „3 + 3. Young art from three countries“) included three more authors in 2015 and became a travelling exhibition „3 + 6. Young art from three countries“. In May it was held in Ahrenshoop (Germany), afterKlaipėdathe exhibition will travel toSwedenand will be presented in KKV Graphics art studio in Malmö.

Lithuanian artists – former participants of the project: Jolanta Tubutytė (2008), Gytis Skudžinskas (2009), Neringa ir Mindaugas Bumbliai (2010), Gintarė Radvilavičiūtė (2011), Justina Jasinevičiūtė (2012), Rodion Petrov (2013), Viktorija Dambrauskaitė (2014).

Exhibition will be open until 16 August, 2015.
