ARVYDAS PALEVIČIUS. PROJECTION OF NANO / MICRO MATERIAL STRUCTURES TO THE FIELD OF MODERN PAINTING

Through visualisations of internal nano / micro structures of physical materials carried out in an experimental technique (atomic power, electronic scanning microscopes and etc.) Arvydas Palevičius has created compositions of mutual coherence of these structures by incorporating the elements of traditional painting into their content. The experiments of the colour field of the author continue the cycle, which was began in 2020 “Between Physics and Metaphysics”, only now he drifts away from the documentedly precise visualisation of scientific methodology, as well as from the traditional expressive painting. The author experiments with his artwork, this material will complement the archive of the KCCC Art Residency and will later be used during the creative graphics and design seminars in mail-art projects.

Arvydas Palevičius is a professor, habilitated doctor of technical sciences and a painter. In 1980 he has graduated from the Kaunas Polytechnic Institute. JUDITA LIAUDANSKAITĖ. CITY SEMANTICS. VARIATIONS AND INTERPRETATIONS

Judita Liaudanskaitė visualizes the shadows of Klaipėda with elementary photo prints, deliberately distorting the tonal gradation, stating that these are more realistic than the shapes casting them. The stories generating these shadows – buildings, weird passers-by, bar guests, arches and staircases – leave room for both philosophical and literary interpretations.

Photo artist Judita Liaudanskaitė has graduated from Kaunas Maironis Gymnasium in 2004. Having improved her photographic skills in the professional activities, she later studied heritage protection at Kaunas University of Technology, where she got acquainted to the sacral value and protection of historical relics, developed her skills in the fields of drawing, composition and computer graphic design.

The author experiments with his artwork, this material will complement the archive of the KCCC Art Residency and will later be used during the creative graphics and design seminars in mail-art projects.
