„KLAIPĖDA ARCHITECTURE 2020 | TEMPORARY BEAUTY‘‘

The traditional exhibition of the Lithuanian Architect Union of the Klaipėda County Organization (LASKAO) “Klaipėda Architecture 2020 | Temporary Beauty ” starts at the Exhibition Hall of Klaipėda Culture Communication Center (KCCC) (Didžioji Vandens St. 2, Klaipėda) at 5 pm on Friday, 18th June 2021.

 

The main goal of the exhibition “Klaipėda Architecture” this year remains the same – to review the annual result of architects’ work in Klaipėda and the most successful works of Klaipėda architects abroad, while providing an alternative approach to Klaipėda’s architecture.

Most of the exposition is devoted to an overview of the architects‘ annual output. Its topics are architectural competitions, projects, implementations and academic works. The projects exhibited are prepared and implemented for Klaipėda, as well as the works of our city’s architects, who have become the winners of republican architectural competitions in other Lithuanian cities.

The theme of the exhibition “Temporary Beauty” is revealed by the new space of light and temporality created in the gallery, close to the profession. The temporary installation object reflects the last shell from which architecture is born.

The partner of the exhibition “Klaipėda Architecture” is Klaipėda City Municipality.

The exhibition will run until the 18th July 2021.

KCCC Exhibition Hall (Didžioji Vandens St. 2, Klaipėda) opening hours: Wednesday – Sunday 11 am – 7 pm. (closed on public holidays).

Photographs and videos will be taken during the event. We would like to inform you that the participants can be seen in the photos and videos of the event, which will be published on social networks and in the media.

In case of quarantine restrictions, visitors to the KCCC Exhibition Hall over 6 years of age must wear mouth and nose protection and disinfect their hands. A distance of 2 meters must be observed in the exhibition halls.
