Rosi Ulrich
1st December – 23th December, 2014 at KCCC Residence is staying Rosi Ulrich (Germany). This artists exchange is realised in collaboration will Ahrenshoop Künstlerhaus Lukas.
3-15 December, 2014 Rosi Ulrich gave workshop “Documentary theatre and pupet” to students of Klaipeda university Arts Department Pupet theatre field. Students got known about contemporary trends in Documentary Theatre., did biographical work on the base of an interview guideline. The students did interview work for a piece that finally will concern with the theme of “home” – the task was to get an interview partner who is not connected to their university life and make an interview with him.

Rosi Ulrich works as dramatic adviser for dance and theatre and also as author. Her Sahara guide is based on several trips through the desert she did in the 1990. In 2004 a trip to Baghdad inspirated her to an installation. She was curator of different international festivals in Germany (Cologne, Reutlingen etc.). From 1996 till 2000 she was Co-director of the Trash Theater which gets attention with productions like Trainspotting and Shoppen & Ficken. 2001 she founded the theater-51grad.com which is realizing contemporary pieces and own theatrical concepts. 2004 she as co-founder gets member of the first German theatre and dance label, the Freihandelszone – ensemble network cologne.
She develops theatre adaptions (“trainspotting” 1996) and theatrical styles which are played on special locations like private appartements, abandoned buildings, garbage incineration plant or municipal places (as “20 Tonnen Stadt” (“20 tons of city”) a two-part piece about garbage). She is writing scenes (like „SEEGANG INS UNGEWISSE“ and „DEUTSCHLAND PRIVAT – Lebenslage illegal“ for the collaboration with intakt e.V.). 2011 first collaboration with Heike Scharpff in the production of “ameisenreport – Live-work meets future vision” at the Mousonturm in Frankfurt and 2013 “mapping susan sontag”. Since 2007 she works also als dramaturgic adviser for dance with Yui Kawaguchi (Cologne Dance Award 2010 for “andropolaroid”), MOUVOIR/Stephanie Thiersch and Helena Waldmann. Under her artistic leading the European production “borders & bridges” had the premiere at the Theater Oberhausen and got the “Young Europe Award 2010”. 2013 she developed a documantary piece from the biographies of migrants living in Germany. In the same year she developed in colaboration with the composer Sergej Maingardt the experimental music theatre piece “TRANSFLEISCH”. In the moment she is working on “MERRY-GO-ROUND” a German-Bulgarian family-saga about migration, which will be played in November in Sofia and Cologne. 2011 she got a stipend from the Film und Medienstiftung NRW ressort Radio Play.
