Viktorija Dambrauskaitė
Klaipeda Culture Communication Centre is collaborating with Künstlerhaus Lukas (Ahrenshoop, Germany) in exchanging artist programme since 2007. Viktorija Dambrauskaite is at Künstlerhaus Lukas int he period of 2014 07 09 – 07 30.
Viktorija Dambrauskaitė. Born in 1985, Lithuania. V. Dambrauskaite graduated from Vilnius Academy of Art in Klaipeda in 2009 with Master’s degree in Visual design. Most of the time Vikte is drawing in her sketchbooks, watching animated films and spends her money on comics and chocolate. She works at the Puppet Theater and is an independent artist and illustrator. Her works, possessing naïve charm – are as if a continuous story that reflects the artist’s playfully attentive, ironic and self-mocking relation with her closest environment, which is developed through colourful characters. Lives and works in Klaipėda.
During residence V. Dambrauskaite is working on new circle of illustrations “From dairies of dreams”, which is going be present in the exhibition “3+3 – young art from thee countries” in the year of 2015.
