Open call is launched for applications for Liepaja’ s four-day long program of practical seminars and creative workshops Modern technologies – appliance, sharing, coordination within the framework of the project “Paradigm shift from traditional to creative industries – the essence for sustainable regional development” (CCI & Sustainability).

The Centre of Competency Based Professional Education “Liepaja Music, Art and Design School” (PIKC LMMDV) announces an open call for applications to take part in a one-week program of practical seminars and creative workshops Modern technologies – appliance, sharing, coordination. The participants of public seminars and creative workshops, under the guidance of representatives of Liepaja City Municipal Education Department, will enjoy the opportunity to get acquainted with the technologies available to educational institutions of Liepaja, its application possibilities and importance in vocational education. During practical seminars and workshops, the focus will be on efficient use of these resources; a theoretical framework will be developed for a collaboration model to facilitate the availability and coordination of resources. Practical seminars and workshops will be held from 17 to 20 June in Liepaja.

The four-day session will focus on raising awareness of the material and technical resources available to Liepaja’s educational institutions. At seminars, lecturers-practitioners will encourage participants to explore and analyse existing resources. The participants will acquire useful knowledge for developing a model for more efficient use of resources in Liepaja, assuming that the model can be transferred to any geographic location and adapted in any circumstances. Acquired skills in seminar and creative workshops will allow participants to understand the situation in vocational education, its challenges, as well as provide an opportunity to participate in the development of an efficient resource use model, which can then be adapted and implemented in their professional activities and career development; therefore, VET learners and representatives are especially welcome.

Four participants from Lithuania – two from Klaipeda Culture Communication Center (KKKC) and two from Vilnius Art Academy Nida Art College, as well as two from Kuldiga, Latvia, are invited to participate in the Open Program of Practical Workshops and Creative Workshops Modern Technologies – Application, Sharing, Coordination. The cost of their accommodation, catering and tutorship will be covered by the funds of the project CCI & Sustainability.
