“MEMORY COLOUR” BY ROSANDA SORAKAITĖ

On the 15th of March, 2019, on friday, at 6 pm at KCCC Exhibition Hall (Didžioji Vandens st. 2, Klaipėda) Rosanda Sorakaitė’s painting exhibition „The colour of memory“ is opening.

The motifs of Rosanda Sorakaitė’s creative work are the silent, repetitive details of everyday life, where the flow of time is given a meaning through the fixation, reproduction and interpretation with the help of the art of painting. The material for the painting becomes both the room sinking into the twilight, and the dust sparkling in the streak of light. Although the artist intuitively chooses to rethink the place and the time in which she is, to find motives in the close environment, but what settles in the picture is inevitably inseparable from the past, from unforgettable experiences and feelings.

The exhibition presents sub-topics developed over a period of several years, unfolding in separate series of paintings, but all of them are combined with the feeling of a slown down, extended time.
