AT SUMMER EXCURSIONS – FAMILIARIZATION WITH THE SURREALISTIC „DIVINE COMEDY“

Famous surrealist‘s Salvador Dalí‘s exhibition „Divine Comedy“ which can be visited at KCCC Exhibition Hall (Didžioji Vandens st. 2, Klaipėda) comes into notice with its  planty of masterly fulfilled  works,  recognizable Salvador alike logic and stylistics.

The author, who left a significant impact in the cinematography, avant-guard, furniture design and other spheres, consolidated the movement of surrealism and its basic ideas not only in the field of painting. Provocative and bizarre not only in artistic manner, but in his lifestyle and behaviour as well, Salvador Dali does not lose popularity even after almost thirty years after his death.

Till July the 3rd, visitors of the exposition displayed at the KCCC Exhibition Hall have a chance for the first time to take a look at a whole Salvador Dalí illustrations‘ cycle from a private collection dedicated to Dante‘s poem „Divine Comedy“ and to see his paintings reproduced in textile works.

Excursions around exhibition

KCCC Exhibition Hall‘s crew traditionally invites one to register and participate in excursions through Salvador Dalí‘s exhibition „Divine Comedy“ with a guide. During the excursions individual visitors will be able to find out more about the exhibits, and the eccentric Salvador Dali himself.

In June, the excursions will be held on Wednesdays – Fridays at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m., on Saturdays at 2 p.m.

The price of excursions is included in the exhibition‘s ticket price: for adults – 5 EUR, for señors, disabled, students, pupils who provide the document – 2.50 EUR.

Families and youth Saturdays

Salvador Dali‘s exhibition „Devine comedy“ will also inspire Saturdays‘ creative workshops for adults, families and youth. During them we offer to to get knowledge in several graphic techniques: in the first workshop paticipators will be able to hera about woodcut and learn multiple colour relief printing technique by using the linocut, the second workshop will be intended for illustration of literary work.
